April News 2013
Please see attached here a Programme for conference being organised by Dublin City Council and Dublin Dockland Development Authority:
“A Community for All : The Future Sustainable Regeneration of Docklands Conference, 2nd -3rd May 2013, The Gibson Hotel, Point Village, Dublin 1.
The conference will focus on the wider Docklands area and will address key themes such as the economy, education and employment; community identity and neighbourhoods; and will look towards achieving a healthy, clean green unique maritime environment for Docklands.
The conference is timely given the recent ministerial designation of North Lotts and Grand Canal Dock as a Strategic Development Zone (SDZ) and the preparation of a Draft Planning Scheme for the designated area. The Draft Planning Scheme is currently on public display until 10 May 2013 and the conference will give an up-date on the Strategic Development Zone (SDZ).
There will be an opportunity for discussion, debate and participation through workshop sessions on each of the key themes. The conference will be an important step in looking at new ways for a sustainable future for Docklands. We hope you can attend and look forward to meeting you on the day!
