North Inner City Drugs Task Force

The North Inner City Drugs Task Force was established in 1997 to develop community responses to the drugs problem in the local area. The NICDTF comprises 20 representatives from the community, voluntary and statutory sectors, who meet monthly to discuss matters relevant to drug use in the community. A list of the current members of the task force can be found by clicking here.

NICDTF supports a number of cross-sectoral networks in the local area, aligned under the pillars of the National Drugs Strategy. These networks are:

  • Treatment and Rehabilitation
  • Prevention and Education
  • Supply Control

You can find out more about these networks by clicking on the 'Networks' tab at the side of this page.

In addition to acting as a forum for relevant agencies to discuss the drugs issue in the North Inner City, the NICDTF offers support to a number of projects in the area. You can learn more about these projects here. If you are a project working in the drugs field or related area and would like to be linked to the NICDTF, please use the contact details on the left of the screen, or click here .
